Empowering Evidence-Based, Compassionate, and Inclusive Conversations in Medicine

As a family physician and IBCLC, I’m passionate about creating spaces where medicine is grounded in evidence, empathy, and respect for every body. My work centers on weight-inclusive care, breastfeeding support, and transforming how we deliver healthcare through the Direct Primary Care model.

If you’re looking for an open, informed voice to discuss the realities of modern medicine—from patient care to physician wellbeing—I’d love to be part of the conversation.

What's 4th Trimester Care?
Aside from babies popping out, and wanting to go right back in, there's a lot more to postpartum than meets the eye. There's still a lot of connecting going on. Women and their families experience substantial changes. From emotional to social to physiological. It's more complex and the old system can't handle it.
Trauma-Informed Weight Inclusive Primary Care
Have weight and size stigma impacted your relationship with yourself and your medical care? Many individuals avoid medical care at the compromise of their wellness after experiencing trauma due to weight or size. Finding a doctor who is trauma-informed and weight and size inclusive can help provide a safe space to focus on your wellness without the unnecessary shaming that weight-stigma creates.
Healthy Eating in Teens
While genetics play a role, lifestyle changes can help improve long-term health outcomes. But it’s never as simple as “eat differently.” Many teens in larger
bodies — especially those with a family history of diabetes, may already be engaging in disordered eating behaviors. That’s why screening for eating disorders is a critical first step before talking about nutrition or activity.
Identifying and Treating Eating Disorders in Adults
In this conversation, I share both my clinical perspective and my personal experience with disordered eating. We talk about how weight bias and cultural norms influence care, what red flags clinicians often miss, and what truly evidence-based, weight-inclusive support looks like for those navigating disordered eating.
